Egzon Rexha

Egzon Rexha is an Albanian based filmmaker born in Gjakova, Kosova.

From a young age he worked with graphic design and photography at his father studio.

During that time he cultivated a keen appreciation for the visual arts, encompassing fields like filmmaking and photography, which became a guiding force fueling his curiosity.

He lived and worked in between photography, music and fashion. His father, a well known Kosovar Albanian photographer, Shkelzen Rexha bought a DSLR camera, one of the first cameras to feature video recording. He showed a passionate interest in Motion Picture and pursued an independent learning path, exploring the diverse dimensions of this medium.

At the time he was living in Kosova, he started filming for high school projects and documentary films for his sister at university. In 2014 at 19 years old he moved to Tirana, Albania and started working at “Agon Channel”, an Italian Television, as a Broadcast Camera Operator on various shows.

In 2016 he moved to “IN TV” continuing his work as a camera operator shooting multiple reportages around Albania for “ZOOM IN” tv show. That year of fieldwork, where he engaged in a series of challenging projects and encountered a range of industry professionals and individuals from various fields who shared their stories, contributed to his professional and personal growth, helping him in creating and producing his own work. A year after he started working in “TV KLAN” National Television. There he worked on Late Night Shows, Live Talk Shows and Festivals for almost 5 years and gained great experience. Parallel to his work on TV as a camera operator he worked on TV Commercials, Music Videos, Documentaries as a Director, Cinematographer, Assistant Director etc. Currently he is working as a Project Manager on the Emmy Award Winning TV Series “LOVE BUGS”, now being adapted in Albanian which is still in production.
